Recovering Desktop files and photos after deleting iCloud Drive

Hello, so, I started doing some cleaning in my icloud files, because it was all messy. And I noticed, that, from some point when I upgraded MacOS, my files from desktop started to syncing with icloud drive. Now I realized I am losing some space because of that, and I wanted to disconnect this function, just leave my files on mac, and disconnect desktop files from icloud drive files syncing. So, I used delete icloud drive files, I accepted the fact, that u cant undo this process, and I deleted it, also disconnecting drive from icloud from Iphone... Yea, sure, so what happend next just made my day because all my files from Mac just left the mac, all photos - Im photographer, and also buisness files which were stacked in folders on desktop are just erased. Maybe Im dumb or something but, I just wanted to delete it from space, not from hardware lol.

Yea, so, I assume there is no way to recover this?
