safari quitting abruptly during login to particular website

I had Safari quit abruptly while trying to login to a financial website to check my account. A notice apeared indicating a report would be sent to safari. I have been able to login to other websites w/o difficulty.?????

iMac 24″, macOS 14.8

If attempting to load a particular website crashes Safari, try clearing that specific website's stored data. Refer to Clear cookies in Safari on Mac - Apple Support, Step 3.


If you are uncertain which website to clear, there is no particular harm in removing all website data. You would just need to log in again for sites that require login credentials (like this one).


Clearing Safari's History may also be required: Clear your browsing history in Safari on Mac - Apple Support. You don't always have to clear all History, sometimes clearing only the last hour (for example) is sufficient.
