apple tv purchased series not visible

I purchased a series with 9 seasons of 10+ episodes, watched it fine the first time . Now , there are only 4 seasons visible with a few episodes each . I tried to erase what was left to download the all thing again but those i can still see won't erase . The only way to see all the rest is to search the store find the series if i click on the episodes I don't have it gives the option of buying -renting or a link to i have purchased but link doesn't do anything .
