Like Old Toad, I've found that dictation is generally easier. However, when I need to type, I do the opposite of what my typing teacher taught me back in 1978. I look at the keyboard while I'm typing. That can be a hard thing to do if you were taught touch typing all those years ago. And of course, I make good use of predictive text.
