Where is the status bar on the macOS Music app?

Ever since the macOS 26 update the status bar doesn't show anymore in the Music app. There's no way to see how many songs are selected or the duration of multiple selected songs. The option to show/hide the status bar is still in the menu, it just doesn't do anything now. Is this a bug? An oversight? Is the status bar being removed but they forgot to remove the menu option to show/hide it?
