TV app on MacOS 26/M5 MacBook Pro (14 in.) not Streaming in 4K

Hello Everyone,

I was watching a movie I rented through the Apple TV app (Version 1.6.0.151) on my M5 MacBook Pro (14 in.). This movie is shown to be 4K, HDR, Dolby Vision, Dolby Atmos, the works. The problem is that when streaming the movie, it only shows as 1080p.

I saw another forum post saying that a "fix" was searching for the movie through the search bar on the app and then going into the movie through there as seemingly renting or buying a moving will put it into your library and the app sees all library items as "Downloaded"(?). Not sure what that's about but this "fix" did not work for me.

The movie I was watching is not downloaded on to my device. From doing research, it is to my understanding that downloading a movie will never be the 4K version. Does anybody know why this is happening or if it's a known issue? (Hopefully with a fix :) lol)
