Apple ID region for subscriptions and purchases

My account Region is set to Australia, however when I want to subscribe and pay for something, I get a message saying « Your account is not valid for use in the French store. You must switch to the Australian store before purchasing. »

Are you trying to buy something using a link provided on a third party page? Sometimes those point to an app that is in a particular region's store. Try searching for the app in the App Store app.
