Was data, photos, etc synced with iCloud? If so, turn on the same iCloud sync settings and that information will automatically resync with the Mac. See: Set up and use iCloud Photos - Apple Support

You re-sync whatever data you had synced to the cloud and restore the rest from your backup, assuming you have one.

"Recovering data after factory reset on water-damaged MacBook: I got my laptop sent off to get repaired for water damage. I was asked to factory reset before it got sent off. I have gotten it back but have zero idea how to get my old stuff back."

Finding Lost Data:

If you cannot locate data, then it is gone, if not backed up. So, look in a place would would have backed it up to. Elsewise, it is gone. For example, here is how you would troubleshoot Photos and Videos:

Locating Lost Photos and Videos:

I. Enable Photos and Contacts in iCloud:

On the iPhones, enable Contacts in iCloud.

On the iPhone:

1. Go to: Settings
2. Tap: Your Name (Top Item)
3. Tap: iCloud
4. Tap: Photos (so that it is green)
5. Tap: Contacts (so that it is green)
