File Sharing on Mac Mini to MacBook Air

So I have a Mac Mini running Catalina (10.15.7) – and I tried to get File sharing to work by turning on "File Sharing" in the system settings. After I allowed "Read & Write" to my user profile "Kellan Klingman" and "Staff" group , it still wouldn't let me access files and said the folder was "not there". So I tried to remove the file and file sharing all together and after I put everything back to how it was, it still gave me that same error message.

I am using my M1 MacBook Air to access my Mac Mini (2012 (again on Catalina)) ... I really dont know what the issue is..

Also– the share files with SMB is on and under it says users connected is 0 .. I dont know why.
