Cursor never goes away in Apple Books app

Steps to reproduce:

  1. Open a EPUB with Apple Books app
  2. Attempt to flip through the book with arrow keys, attempt commands like comma and F8/F9 keys with FN off and on to hide the cursor
  3. Cursor remains on screen, fullscreen and expanded

I can only assume the product owner of this app is illiterate, as it's clear they have never attempted to read a book with their own software. Other native Apple apps have the good sense to allow the user to hide the cursor when engaging with media in full screen- perhaps fork that code and include it in Books if you ever want to drive first party app use.

I would imagine posts like these are circulated to these heads as part of the continuous product development lifecycle.

That's not totally impossible, but the feedback link is where Apple normally looks for info about problems to fix. These forums, which have millions of posts, are for users to help other users solve problems where possible.
