In Tahoe, Music app not listed under Saved to iCloud, but it is listed in IOS

On my iPhone 16 Pro, IOS 26.0.1, Music is listed under Save to iCloud, and I have it enabled.

On my iMac with Tahoe 26.0.1, Music is not listed under Save to iCloud.

Why?

How do I upload my library from my iMac to the iCloud so I can sync across my devices?

I have a large CD collection that I ripped to MP3s over many years.

I just ripped another new CD using my new iMac. Yes, I still buy CDs.

I want those MP3s in iCloud so I can sync them across my devices (iMac, iPhone, iPad).

I pay for extra storage in iCloud.

I don't want to subscribe to anything else.

Pre-iCloud, I would rip using my MacBook Pro onto an external drive, then I would need to plug each device into my MacBook Pro to manually sync the library.

Now, with iCloud, I want to sync my music across all devices using iCloud.

Suggestions greatly appreciated.

To Apple engineers/developers: It shouldn't be this hard.

Thanks.

The Music app in iOS cannot access media files stored in iCloud Drive. Apple provide two cloud syncing solutions for Music, iTunes Match which gives access to your ripped and downloaded media and playlists across up to 10 devices and computers, and Apple Music which has the same features but also allows you to add content from the Apple Music catalog while your subscription remains active.
