Scratches on Apple Ultra with Melanese Loop Band
On another forum I’m on owners were stating they were getting scratches on their Ultra watch faces from their melanese bands. I did some research on this and discovered the cause which is outlined below and wondering if Apple is cover repair or replacement due to this blunder?
Apple added a DHC coating to the black titanium Milanese loop band that will cut through the surface of your sapphire crystal screen and scratch it all up.
Sapphire crystal usually cannot be scratched with anything, except:
Diamonds
DHC (diamond hardened carbon)
OR other sapphires (including rubies).
You cannot scratch it with a titanium (strap), or steel, or quite literally **anything** else.
But the coating in this band will destroy your sapphire watch face.
