Location GPS not working during navigation - iPhone 17 Pro

I can confirm this issue, gps accuracy is indeed very poor in 17 Pro. I replaced one unit and got another but the same issue seems to persist. I am not sure if I want to upgrade anymore as accurate GPS is important to me and my 14 Pro was extremely accurate.

I have been having similar GPS related issues.

Firstly, my location while moving randomly stops or drifts to another road meaning the accuracy dials down to zero at times.

Secondly, even while being still under the sky the location is not accurate and google maps says that the location accuracy is weak because of the weak gps or wifi signals. I have hard reset the phone and meddled with every possible related setting i could find but to no avail. The only thing iam wondering is if this is a hardware or a software issue because the compass app works fine and needs no calibration. If anyone has a fix do let me know. Should i contact apple support?

I am still having issues . I downloaded a gps diagnostic app to view satellite strength while viewing maps on car play and the signal was extremely intermittent. I decided I would get my iPhone 11 (ios26.1)which uses T-mobile and have that google map running alongside my iphone 17 pro (ios26.1) Asa comparison. Both maps worked flawlessly. So thinking the issue is fixed I went back to just the 17 without the iPhone 11 in the car and again Maps under performs. Lags. Signal drop’s etc

I have an iPhone 13 and updated to ios 26.1 but still having issue. Tried resetting location & privacy settings and seemed to work for a day or so but back to the same issue :(. Happens when using apple maps, google maps, or waze. Waze gives me the specific message my gps signal is lost.

Hello. My Apple maps is not working and I really need Apple to fix this. Google Maps doesn't work. Mapquest doesn't work. I have updated everything and I am still having this issue. It is very frustrating, and I need Apple to fix this. Please. I have used Apple products since 2011 and almost never have issues. In recent yrs (past 2 yrs)...issues. First my iMac desktop computer, now navigation on an Iphone that's only a year old. I am tired of this. Please fix this.

Did anyone get a chance to test the new iOS 26.1? I just installed it and will try today.

Same issue here on the 17 Pro, running 26.0.1. Didn’t have this issue on 26.0. It’s really annoying…

USA. Charlotte, NC. iPhone 12 navigation was working in car 18 inches from where iPhone 17 Pro Max was not working on a familiar route close to home argues against GPS coverage problem.

Luke, do you know which iOS version the 12 Mini was running at the time? I'm having the exact same issues on a 13 Mini -- but only since updating to iOS 26.

One more here. This is really bad. I use GPS navigation every day and got totally lost this afternoon.
