I had this happen with a series 7 Hermes, at Christmas. You need to call in to Apple and ring that bell with an agent whom will most likely escalated...

Also, you need to get a case with your carrier going ASAP; and if possible, loop that information to Apple as well.

Yes I did. But It was obviously the wrong destination. I filed a claim and they responded that investigations had been initiated. I expected to get updates. As this was not coming I checked back only to be told that investigations had been concluded and the case closed. Meanwhile I still haven't taken delivery of the watch. It is two weeks and a day today since I made the purchase.
