Searching Numbers Spread sheet icloud

If you are on the Mac type command-f and enter your search term in the search field (which on my machine appears at the bottom of the window, not the top) and hit enter or click Done.

This searches the entire document and shows you the "hits." There is no way to limit the search to a specific column in a specific table.

In Numbers for iCloud in Safari on a Mac running macOS 26.0.1 the search box reliably appears, 100% of the time. I suggest you try again.

That's good news! I was wondering if maybe a popup blocker of some sort might be the culprit, but it seems that it was just one of the mysterious glitches that goes away after restarting.
