If your Apple Pencil keeps dropping connection, check your charger!

I experienced an issue where my Apple Pencil kept randomly disconnecting even after restarting my iPad. A force restart briefly helped, but that was only because the iPad had stopped charging. Once I restarted again and charging resumed, the Pencil problem came back. Then I tried using a different charger, and suddenly everything worked perfectly.


It turns out the issue was likely caused by an unstable or noisy power supply that was interfering with Bluetooth. So if anyone else has similar Apple Pencil disconnection issues, try changing your charger brick — it might save you a lot of frustration.


For reference, I’m using a 2018 12.9-inch iPad Pro with the second-generation Apple Pencil, both of which I’ve been using for a few years.
