Apple Music deletes all downloaded songs and playlists after failed payment

My problem happened a while ago but I cannot wrap my head around the fact that apple will just delete everything you have downloaded and all the playlists you’ve made after no payment. I would completely understand blocking the user from being able to listen to the music but to completely delete all of it and have no way of getting it back is ridiculous. I’ve never seen any other company do subscriptions this way. I’ve lost all my songs since I had since I was a child and never was able to recover it. I think they should change that because it’s ridiculous. It’s odd that if you don’t pay you LOSE everything for good after a certain time period. I had a failed payment and never knew that it would erase everything I’ve ever had. It sucks that there’s no way to recover any of that.
