phone disconnects from bluetooth speaker with apple music

as the title says, my phone (iphone 13) keeps disconnecting itself from my bluetooth speaker while it plays music via apple music. it doesn’t do this when i’m using headphones connected via bluetooth or my aipod pros.

i switched from spotify to apple music around september and it never did that before so i’m guessing it’s related to apple music. it’s also the same speaker and can’t have nothing to do with my version of ios (i’m currently running ios 26.0.1).

i’ve already deleted the speaker from my devices list in bluetooth settings and reconnected it, didn’t fix it.

it’s very annoying and there seems to be no pattern — some times it disconnects after 30 mins, some times after 3 hours.

anyone else have the same problem before or guesses how i could fix it?
