How can I get a cursor arrow on iPad Pro 2025 instead of grey circle?

On iPadOS 26, the mouse pointer is a translucent gray arrow by default, unless you have Assistive Touch turned on, then it becomes the old stayed gray circle.

To get the arrow, turn off Assistive Touch in Settings ➜ Accessibility ➜ Touch ➜ AssistiveTouch.

Go to Settings > Accessibility > Pointer Control, then adjust any of the following:

• Increase Contrast
• Automatically Hide Pointer
• Color
• Pointer Size
• Pointer Animations
• Trackpad Inertia (available when a supported multi-touch trackpad is connected)
• Scrolling Speed

To customize the buttons of the pointing device, go to Settings > Accessibility > Touch > AssistiveTouch > Devices.

None of that will change the shape from a circle to an arrow as requested by the OP.

Update your iPad to iPadOS 26. At the time of writing, the current version is iPadOS 26.0.1.
