How do I double the tempo (double the speed) of an Apple Audio Loop in Logic Pro for Mac?

If I have an Apple Audio Loop (an Audio Region) that decides to play back at 1/2 tempo (speed) when dragged into the project, how do I make it so it plays at 100% (double the speed)? I have a Logic Pro for Mac project with a BPM of 182.

What I have tried:

1 - Going into "Show Flex" to use "Flex Time" and dragging from the right to activate the Stretch tool but the problem is that this means I have to estimate where the half point is by eye.

2 - Going into Edit —> Length —> Halve, but this only cuts the audio in the middle (it doesn't retime it).

I essentially want a mix between these two: I want it to automatically double the speed to make it last half as long without me having to estimate the length by eye, but I want it to be retimed instead of just an abrupt cut.

Hi

Select the region, then in the Region Inspector choose the desired speed (2x... 1/2x etc) from the menu
