AirPods Pro 2 connecting as 2 separate devices

My AirPods Pro 2’s are showing up as 2 separate devices, tried all of the troubleshooting I could find, forget device and reset, reset network connections, reset phone, spent 2 and a 1/2 hours on the phone with support last night trying to figure this out, let them sit charging to update the firmware, even tried to run the battery down last night to get them to show charging in the case.

When I put them in the case the light is green, not red. When I try to forget device, my phone finds them right when I open the lid as the 2 devices. When I try to restart the light is white to amber then green. Never goes amber to white.

I just got a new iPhone 17 Pro Max and they worked how they should for a day and a half. Now I can’t even remove them from my iCloud. I am stuck. Please help.
