Syncing music playlists from iPhone to iPad

iPhone 14 Pro. Under Software update it says iOS 18.7.1

sending playlist to iPad Pro (3). Under My Account it shows iPadOS 18.6.2 (iCloud backup at 2am today).

New music purchased on iPhone from iTunes store transfers (syncs?) to iPad but Playlists do not appear in iPad.

How do I get playlists to the iPad?

Original Title: OCTOBER 2025: how to copy a Music Playlist from iPhone (iOS 18.7.1 ) to iPad (iPadOS 18.7.1 ). In the app, Music, I find no ‘sync’ button. Both devices are signed into Apple under same name.

I don't believe you can directly synchronize playlists between an iPhone and an iPad. At least not without a subscription.

However, if you manually synchronize your iPhone and your iPad against a master music library on your Mac - or your Windows PC – I believe that you could synchronize playlists from the computer to both of them.
