Paper thin gap between macbook air m4 display glass and rubber ring.

Recently purchased macbook air m4 around 1 month before, and notice that there is a very thin gap between display glass and the rubber ring around it. it has started accumulating some dust too. is it concerning? is it normal to have or some kind of manufacturing defect? that gap is very thin and visible under direct flash light.

not noticeable if working normally.

I am loosing my mind over this. usually in other laptops, display is covered with a plastic bezels all around
