Epson Printers SX440 and WF2810 go offline on MacBook Air

My Epson Printers SX440 and WF2810 have both gone offline and will not print from my MacBook Air

Restart both the printer and the Wi-Fi router, and try again.


Epson WorkForce WF-2810DWF?

Is the firmware v.FZ18O3 or newer?

That firmware update procedure starts on page 60 in the manual:

Epson Stylus SX440W?

That’s apparently not AirPrint per Epson tech specs, but may be AirPrint per Apple.

Check for newer firmware using the Epson Mac firmware tool: https://epson.com/Support/wa00603a


Check the Wi-Fi router firmware for available updates from the router vendor, too.


Unimpressed with the Epson doc, and with the Epson website.
