Tightness in c type to earphone jack connector while taking it off

While disconnecting the c type to earphone jack connector from ipad , it is too tight to take it off. It comes off after using an unsual amount of force though the ports are clean and the connector is ok while connecting with my non apple phone. Will it create any permanent deformation in the ipad c type port?
