Podcast interruption during browsing in iOS 26 on iPhone 16 Pro

Since the update to iOS 26 I have a very uncomfortable issue with listening to podcasts while browsing in safari.

The podcast will always stop, whenever I’m opening a homepage obviously containing videos or audio content, although I didn’t opted for autoplay or similar.

even the voice memo app will stop recording at the same points and it is a very annoying issue, because I’m used to it since years.

I did not found any option - neither within podcast app, safari or voice record app - to stop these homepages from interrupting my podcasts or voice recording.

And from my experience it always happens, when I’m scrolling over video or audio content (both not playing aloud).

Has anyone an idea, what I can adjust to stop this? It destroys any positive experience with podcast app.
