App that uses face id requires a username and password.

Do a forgot password to reset it so you can use face id for said app.

Still have issue then reach out to said app(s) support or look at their help site.

I got a new iPad today and I used a backup of the old iPad to transfer my data to get the same screen layout, widgets, apps, etc. The setup process did have a step to choose how to transfer data to it where you could choose iCloud backup, another iPad, Mac or pc, and another option but I couldn't get this to work.

App data is part of the icloud backup has always been. IF you restore from your backup and it didn't transfer over then you'll need to reach out to procreate support or look at their help site.
