You Tube video to Final Cut ProX
How do I download a You Tube video to be able to edit in Final Cut Pro X? I've tried 4K Video Downloader + but keep getting video not available or failed.
iMac 27″ 5K, macOS 13.7

ClipGrab is a well established open source downloader and is completely free.
It also suffers when YT updates something but a fix is usually provided within 24 hours and as Larrie suggested, some videos are not downloadable.
In that case you can play the video at full screen and use a screen capture device like QuickTime Player.
The quality won't be quite as good as a direct download but it will probably be fine for your requirements.

I have used 4K Video Downloader + several times.
The first thing you need to do is to make sure you have the latest version.
Youtube often makes changes that make older versions of downloaders stop working.
"Downie" is probably the best GUI tool for that. Google to see details. For a free command-line tool, there is yt-dlp, which is available through Homebrew. It is very capable.
IIRC not all videos on YT are downloadable. Have you searched the YT site on how to download videos?
