Apple Account password not accepted in Settings on Mac Pro and iPhone
I can sign into icloud using my APPL Account password on my Mac Air but my password is not accepted in Settings. On my MacPro it is NOT accepted in iCloud or settings. The password is recorded in my keychain showing it was changed on June11, 2025, 4 months ago. At that time I taped it next to my trackpad because it is too long to remember and easier than retrieving my Password Notebook. I live alone so it is not a problem (maybe aesthetically...). Since the computer accepts my password in iCloud, but not in settings, it sounds to me like the computer does not know what it is doing. There should be some kind of connect between iCloud, Settings and Keychain when all three are on the same computer. There always has been in the past. I bought one of the first iMacs in 1997 and for 28 years I have never witnessed such a disconnect. This all started at the beginning of October when I had a message on iPhone saying it had to be erased if I wanted access. No reason given. I erased it and reset. Then the next day it would not accept my 6 digit password (taped to my desk and working for the 2 weeks since buying the iPhone.) Then I got locked out I guess for entering my correct password too many times. Either I have 3 lemons all purchased 2025 or I can no longer expect Apple laptops and iPhones to work as they did in the past. If no one else has had these problems then I have 3 lemons, so please comment to help me understand this crazy stuff happening.Oh also, my Apple Acount password works for iCloud on my Mac Air but not on the Mac Pro.
