Please provide clarification on whether installing a dual operating system — macOS alongside Windows 11 or 10 — on a MacBook Air would void the warranty.

You can not install Windows on a M4 Mac other than by using a VM and a compatible version of Windows.

No. Not unless you void the Terms & Conditions in one manor or another: Legal - AppleCare+ - Apple. Of course, only Apple has the ultimate say in this --no one here on these forums does.

Thank you for the information provided. I once read that such a setup is permitted for MacBook models with Intel processors, but I have not found any information regarding the use of M-series processors.

Bootcamp allowed Mac with Intel processors to run Windows natively.

Boot Camp cannot work on Apple Silicon (M-series) processors.

The only issue you may run into with a virtual machine is that there nay not be proper drivers available.

Since the virtualization is non a machine with an ARM64 based processor (the basis of M-series Macs), you will need drivers that have been written for ARM. Since the ARM64 architecture is gaining ground in the Windows world, some hardware providers have added ARM64 drivers to their installers but not all.
