iOS 26 reduces mail app UI density

Moving from iOS 18 to iOS 26, I noticed that the Mail app now shows far fewer Mail items on a single screen. I still have my preview=none setting, but there is a ton of empty space. The icon on the left should shrink to get back to the old density of items. I choose this setting option specifically so that I can see more mail at once.
