Apple model numbers from Settings

If I go to "Settings", "General", "About" on my iPads I see a "Model" entry which does not help me identify the model of my devices.

What is a model MD536C/A ?

What is a model ML0F2CL/A

iPad mini, iOS 9

1. A first generation iPad mini with 64GB of internal storage in black originally sold in Canada.

2. A 12.9-inch first generation iPad Pro with 32GB of internal storage in space gray originally sold in Canada.

The A number shouldn't be used to determine the region of sale; it's far less accurate than the M number.

Apple has two types of Model Numbers, one which we use to identify the region of sale which is 5 digits starting with A and followed by 4 numbers. The second one Apple uses to identify more specifics such as if the device is new or refurbished. If you tap the Model Number once more it should switch to the one we use.
