6-monthly repeating event being displayed annually in the calendar iOS26

Hi, I created a 6-monthly repeating event in the calendar but the event is showing up annually instead.

Phone recently updated to iOS26. What am I likely doing wrong?

You've created an event that does repeat on the 29th every six months. But, February 29 only exists every 4 years. That's why you see it "annually." Continue to a leap year and you should see it on Feb 29. Change the date to the 28th or. change it to something like last weekday instead.

Ahhh Thank you! 🙏

After reading your reply I changed the date to another that doesn’t fall on a leap year via the calendar itself, but that didn’t solve the issue. Was still repeating on the 29th. Not changing the repeat date via the reoccurrence calendar in the Custom tab was where I was going wrong.
