"Shuffle > Albums" and "Shuffle > Groupings" in a playlist is not working. — Tahoe 26.0.1
With Tahoe 26, when selecting Shuffle > Albums or Shuffle > Groupings, it just shuffles songs from random albums within that playlist. This, along with my other post, Playlist folders all expand if doing anything with playlists - Tahoe 26.0 are major issues that need to be fixed.
I have playlists created for Complete Albums, and separated by decades, and years. By complete albums, I mean, the playlists don't contain individual songs from albums, but true complete albums, like LPs on your shelf. I like to shuffle and hear Led Zeppelin IV, complete, followed by Hatchie's "Giving the World Away," complete, and so on, for example.
I have groupings created for my classical compositions that have multiple movements. When I want to shuffle a playlist of classical music that I've created, say "Romanticism" or "Chamber Music" it's shuffling individual movements across multiple albums, so I might hear the third movement of a Liszt piano sonata followed by the first movement of Grieg's Piano Concerto in A minor. Groupings were a great addition for shuffling classical music and other multi-movement pieces, and it took a lot of effort to put add groupings to my classical collection.
Please fix these issues, and my issue with playlist folders that continue to expand. It's making the Music app unusable for my purposes. If someone has a solution other than Apple, let me know.
