Problem with right side of Macbook Pro screen

This morning i turn on my macbook and on right side of screen it is like darker screen and its flashing but i can see screen behind. Literaly 1-2 inches darker and rest of screen is fine. What to do?

You can plug in an external monitor and compare your results— the external comes direct from the GPU bypasing the internal Display all together... this would be telling


In or out of warranty you can get a free over the counter 'Apple Service Diagnostics' test /assessment

Make an appointment for a "hardware issue"

First, shut down your Mac completely, and start up again.


if the problem persists, try starting up in Safe mode, where very few add-ons are included. In Safe mode, screen re-draw will be wonky and slow, but should be VERY stable and the overall colors even, not flashing.


Your next Restart into normal mode will take slightly longer [once], as some system caches are rebuilt.
