iPhone 16 Pro constant typos?

I know this is a known problem because I’ve seen it all over Reddit but no one has any solutions (and restarting my phone, cleaning the phone screen, updating to the latest IOS (already done) has not helped. This is not an autocorrect issue, this is typing the wrong letter on every third word issue.

I am making a ridiculous amount of typos on my iPhone 16 Pro. I am on IOS 18.6.2. I never had this problem on any of my old iPhones. My typing speed has gone from 30 wpm to about 10 wpm.

I still have my old iPhone and I’ve tested my typing out on it to see if the typos are because of me or because of my new iPhone 16 Pro. I type just fine on my old phone, no typos.

Has anyone found a fix for this? I’m about to throw this dang thing in the trash after being an IPhone user for 10+ years and get a Samsung.
