Bottom half of iPhone 16 screen remains blank after minimizing keyboard

For example, sometimes when opening a link in an email, the top of the linked material will show, but bottom half of screen is blank. Another example, when using the Flipp app, after adding an item and pressing done, the grocery list shows only on top of two thirds of the screen; the area where the keyboard was is blank. It should show the grocery list on the entire screen
