Was it a Default app that you tried to delete?
Troubleshoot Removing/Deleting the App
If the app won't delete, or you only see "Remove from Home Screen," try these methods:
- Check Screen Time Restrictions (Most Common Fix):
- Go to Settings $\rightarrow$ Screen Time.
- Tap Content & Privacy Restrictions.
- Tap iTunes & App Store Purchases.
- Tap Deleting Apps and make sure it is set to Allow. (You may need to enter a Screen Time Passcode).
- Delete from iPad Storage: This method often works when the Home Screen method doesn't.
- Go to Settings $\rightarrow$ General.
- Tap iPad Storage.
- Wait for the list of apps to load, then find and tap the stubborn app.
- Tap Delete App, then confirm.
- Force Restart Your iPad (If it's frozen or completely unresponsive):
- With Face ID or Touch ID in the top button: Press and quickly release the Volume Up button, press and quickly release the Volume Down button, then press and hold the Top button until the Apple logo appears.
- With a Home button: Press and hold the Top button and the Home button at the same time until the Apple logo appears.
