Clearing what's playing now

I used to be able to press the back button in Apple Music until the what's playing now would clear. Now with the new upgrade, the song that is playing doesn't erase so when I hit shuffle, the same songs come up.

I read that now I have to clear the history and up next queues but it doesn't get rid of the song in the what 's playing now part on my Mac.

Am I missing something??
