Search history missing in Safari on MacBook Air

I turned on my laptop this morning and typed a fequently-visited website into safari, but it didn't do the auto-completion thing. I figured it was my internet (been having some issues), so I closed Safari and switch to data, to try again. NOTHING.

I then grew half the brain and checked my search history, only to see that it has completely vanished, both on my iPhone and my MacBook.

I tried the usual (or most of it, I think?)

  • Closing Safari
  • Force quitting the app
  • Logging out and back into google
  • Logging out of iCloud and back in.

None of these helped whatsoever. I did not empty caches, nor did I delete my history. Both my devices are fully updated (IOS & Tahoe 26.0.1).

My search history is still available on Google (when I go to my profile and search for my activity and stuff) and it has never stopped synching. Any ideas on getting it back?
