How do I organize email messages by conversation in Mail on Mac?

It used to work, but with the new MacOS 26, that doesn't work anymore, at least not my new conversation.

You may want to check your settings:

In the Mail app, choose View in the top menu bar > Organise by Conversation

If that is off (not ticked), you can click it so it is ticked (on)

If setting was already ticked, yet not working.

The update to iOS 26.0.1 provided some bug-fixes and more, so if you haven't already, you may want to update your MacOS. (As always, it is wise to back-up Mac first)

There's another setting you might want to check:

With the Mail app open:

Click "Mail" in the menu bar at top left

Choose "Settings"

In the window that opens click "Viewing" at the top

Under "Conversations" .> See whether you want to click (tick) any of those checkboxes
