Delayed large Apple Cash transfer to PNC Bank

transferred $1,401 from my Apple Cash to my PNC Bank account on October 8 around 12:55 PM. The transaction shows as “Cleared” in my Apple Cash history, but the funds still haven’t appeared in my bank account.

I’ve already done two smaller $100 transfers that deposited with no problem, but this larger one hasn’t shown up. Apple Cash Support told me it can take up to 3 business days, and that Columbus Day may have caused a delay, but I’m worried something might be wrong.

Has anyone else experienced a large Apple Cash transfer taking this long?

  • Should I wait until Tuesday or Wednesday before requesting an ACH trace number?

  • Is there anything else I can do in the meantime to confirm it’s actually processing?

Any advice or experiences would really help — thank you! 🙏🏽

Your transfer is moving through the ACH network. Most banks have one or two transfer times per day. So, Green Dots time, as most banks, are fairly early morning Eastern Time. If you initiated the transfer on the 8th after their transfer time the funds sat until the 9th. So, 3 business days is 9th, 10, and 14th. The 13th was a Federal Reserve Bank holiday and ACH funds don’t move on weekends and holidays. Funds will be available the 14th, tomorrow.
