FaceTime audio suddenly becomes very loud after a few minutes on iOS 26.0.1 (iPhone 15 Plus)

Hi everyone,

I’m currently using an iPhone 15 Plus running iOS 26.0.1, and I’ve been experiencing a strange FaceTime issue.

During a FaceTime call, everything starts normally, but after a few minutes, the audio suddenly becomes extremely loud — just like when the speaker mode turns on — even though I haven’t changed any settings.

When this happens, I have to end the call and start again for the volume to return to normal. It happens randomly and quite frequently.

I’ve already tried restarting my phone, resetting all settings, and switching between “Voice Isolation” and “Standard” mic modes, but the problem keeps coming back.

Is anyone else experiencing this issue on iOS 26.0.1? Or is there any workaround or upcoming fix from Apple?
