Issues with Bent Mac:

Yes. You should be concerned.

A. No AppleCare Coverage:

If you AppleCare on this, then it would likely not get served, as AppleCare does cover mishandling.

B. Extensive Screen Damage:

There is a connector between the screen and the LogicBoard. If it gets disconnected, then the screen just won’t work.

C. Don’t Use a Hardshell Case, nor Keyboard Covers:

Hardshell Cases are almost non-flexible, whereas keyboard covers can cause condensation. So, avoid both.

E. So, what to Use?:

Use of a Sleeve: So, what I use is a sleeve, and then I take it out of it, when I need to use my Mac. Once done using my Mac, I let it cool for a bit, and then close the screen, placing it back in the sleeve.  What I use: MOSISO Laptop Sleeve - Amazon
