My father has an Apple ID that uses a Yahoo email address. Unfortunately, he hasn’t logged into that email for a long time, and Yahoo deleted his account. He has also forgotten his Apple ID password. Now we don’t know how to update his phone or use his Apple ID on another device.
Please help us change the password or update the Apple ID.

Being pragmatic here …
… maybe it’s just time to start over w/ a new email, a new iPhone (the “7” is getting pretty aged), and a new Apple Account.
If that seems too extreme or defeatist … apologize.

He has an iPhone 7 and signed in a few years ago, but when I click on Change Password, there are two options: one is ,resend an email that we don’t have access to it,and the other is to answer security questions that he doesn’t remember

Does he not have an Apple device signed-in to his Apple Account ?
