How can I get WiFi and Bluetooth to stay, off, after a system update? It turns itself back on every time.
I have in incurable illness called, Myalgic Encephalomyelitis (ME). It causes many health issues, including issues with my nervous system. Because of this I cannot use WiFi, Bluetooth and especially cellular. I get open sores on my skin if I'm even around people using these devices. Most EMF causes me harm.
I have none of these wireless signals allowed in my home or near me, everything is hard wired. I have removed the WiFi interface in System Preferences on all devices and Bluetooth is off. Yet, every time I update the OS on a device, Apple forces WiFi and Bluetooth back on. Even after the first reboot, Apple is trying to force the (disabled and removed) WiFi interface to "on". It can't connect because it's not configured, but the antennae is on.
I missed this after updated my Mac mini server, yesterday, and now I have several open sores on my skin, as I sit just above the server room in my living room most of the day. I haven't left my home in over 6 years except for rare occasions, locked in my my illness.
How to I get Apple to honor my preferences? This has been an ongoing issue for years now, across many operating system versions and on every Apple desktop and "laptop" I've used for several years.
