Update from El Capitan to os Catalina

Is it possible to update my old Mac running OS X El Capitan to Mac OS Catalina ???

iMac, OS X 10.11

Choose About This Mac from the Apple menu. If it's a 2012 or newer model, yes; otherwise, no.

If it is an Early 2009 iMac – whether 20" or 24" – El Capitan is as far as it can go.

Thanks for sharing your knowledge on the matter.I did as you asked and I’m now sure it’s an early iMac 2009 …is there any way to update it or has it gone as far as it can go ??
