My HBO Max subscription on Apple TV is still active after refund
I had trouble setting up an HBO Max subscription on my Apple TV, after being charged for a yearly subscription I couldn't afford, I opened a ticket immediately to request a refund which was approved. The money was returned to my bank account, but I still have access to the subscription for the next year.
The HBO app says it expires a year from now and says to make any subscription changes through my Apple account. My Apple account says it's both "cancelled" and "expired" on different screens (one day apart, assuming just time zone / process time related) on the day the refund was approved, but doesn't say when access to the subscription ends which I assume should have been immediately.
It's like somewhere in the ticket support machine, someone granted my refund request but only set the account subscription to stop auto renew a year from now instead of cancelling it immediately. This appears to have provided a free yearly subscription to HBO Max I just don't feel right using or taking advantage of so hoping to get it removed so I can set up a proper (paid) monthly subscription for it.
