Setting up Apple Music Library on MacBook Air

I have a newly purchased MacBook Air with 2TB internal SSD running Tahoe 26.0.1. I also have a Mac mini M1 running the same macOS. I have an extensive (> 250GB) library of MP3 files on an external SSD attached to the Mac Mini. All the music files have been imported into Apple Music on the Mac Mini. I have also created quite a few playlists on the Mac Mini.

I do not want to buy more iCloud space to keep my music files there.

Given my situation, what is the best way for me to import my music files into my MacBook Air? I intend to keep the music files on the internal 2TB SSD on the MBA. That way, I can use Time Machine to keep the files backed up. I have an attached 4TB SSD for Time Machine.

I realize I can attach the SSD with the music files to the MBA and import them into Apple Music that way. But what about the extensive playlists I have built on the Mac Mini? How do I get those onto the MBA?

Any help would be surely appreciated.
