Error while importing CD into Apple Music: 'The required file cannot be found'

When importing a CD into my music library, I sometimes get the error message 'Error occurred while converting the file “<song title>” The required file cannot be found'. The CD is recognized by Apple Music, as CD title and track names are found. At some point during copying the CD though, it stops importing and gives me this error message. When I try the same CD again, it will stop at some other point and give me the same message, sometimes sooner, sometimes later - appears random.
